General Questions Q: What is Dot Swoof? A: It's a video production company that creates web videos that we will release on our website, this website actually. Dot Swoof itself is our means to achieve a cult following of worshipers. Q: Who are you then? A: We're a group of artists from around the country who work together without pay to produce anything that makes us laugh. Q: So what the hell is a Swoof? A: A Swoof is a flash file, also known as ".swf" We kind of liked the sound of it because it rolls off the tongue...Dot Swoof...dot swooooof. Try it. Q: How many people work for Dot Swoof? A: Right now its around 20 people, some in New Jersey, some in North Carolina, and a few more scattered around the country. We all come together and lend our own different skills and stregths towards creating funny shows and series. We have writers perfecting scripts, a special effects artist amazing us everyday, musicians scoring our projects, producers providing money and organization and a few video gamers providing laziness. Q: How can I get involved? A: Well if you want to help and if you fit the description of someone we could use help from, your in luck! Contact us at contact@dotswoof.com and we'll try to get back to you about working for us. Noobesauce Questions Q: What is this Noobesauce thing? A: It's a live action series created by Sean O'Rourke. It's about five of the world's greatest gamers that collide in an epic battle for the title of Monopoly's greatest. It's a remake of a series Sean O'Rourke and George Lampard put on YouTube last year. Q: Winning Monopoly? That's the central plot? A: Yeah! Monopoly is a great game. But if that's not enough for you, all the characters are stereotypes of various video game fans. Q: You said something about this series being on YouTube already, what's the difference between that one and this one? A: Noobesauce started simply as an idea Sean had, George gathered a few people together in his garage one day and filmed it. The quality was low, the acting was poor, and episodes were only a minute long each. But once they reached YouTube, the people there loved them, leaving tons of comments. So George and Sean thought why not try it again, but better than before. And that's what we have here. Q: Who did all these awesome effects for Noobesauce? A: Our effects artist, Joseph La Scola did all the effects for Noobesauce. He's really good at what he does; both practial effects and digital effects that make the movie, or in this case the web series, all it can be. Q: What does Yu-Gi-Oh Boy shouting when he throws the dice? A : "Heart of the Dice!" During one of the arcs in Yu-Gi-Oh! they played a dice game and instead of shouting his famous line, "Heart of the Cards!" when he pulled a card from his deck, as Yugi rolled the dice he shouts, "Heart of the Dice!" Or something like that. Hence, Yu-Gi-Oh Boy shouting it also. Q: Am I going crazy or was Noobesauce previously spelt "n00besauce"? A: Yes, yes it was. We originally called the series n00besauce because that's how a gamer would write it, but then we realized a normal person searching for it on Google wouldn't. So we fixed it, exciting huh? *War's Troopers Questions Q: The trailer is great! When can we expect the episodes? A: All in due time, young Padawan. We are hoping for a mid or late summer release. Q: How did you make this? A: It was made by filming inside a video game, which is process of filmmaking called Machinima, in which filmmakers use in-game footage along with sound effects to make a game seem more like a film. |
