I remember teachers strictly telling us that we weren't allowed to use Wiki. I remember one day in the school library I was on the site and a teacher started grilling me for not following instructions. The stupid bitch couldn't seem to comprehend the fact that Wikipedia cites everything, and that they provide a list of their sources at the bottom of each page. I was  copying those links down and visiting each of the pages to get my research.

Anyway, funny comic.

What's so funny about teachers bashing wikipedia, is they assume the books we read have more reliability, or that they themselves are more reliable. Anyone can print a book, and print whatever nonsense they wish to in there. And teachers are wrong more times a day than a broken clock.

I once had a class at UNCG called "Intro To Digital Media", all about making video for the web, making websites...like this one....Well first off, the book we were required to buy, for 75$ actually had quotations from wikipedia! It listed wikipedia as a source!!!!!

The book, which mind you was only a year old, went into great detail about HD-DVD's vs BlueRay DVDs....even at the time of reading this book, HD-DVD's were no longer being produced. BlueRay won. Yet despite this obvious fact, my professor spent two weeks going over the differences of the two formats....

But I suppose that's not the worst thing about the class, since we spent two months learning HTML, and in the time the teacher did not once use a web browser...Teaching web design without the web.....I got a D in that class. And made this site. Ironic.

I go out of my way to use wikipedia on anything a professor assigns, especially if they say you can't. How are they gonna know? It's not like I'm gonna quote wiki, I'm gonna quote the links at the bottom like NUX said. It's a great source that tells you everything that's ever happened in 24 and it lists every episode of Dragon Ball Z! How could you go wrong?
