Talking at the Same Time

In this week's sketch, Talking at the Same Time, two guys are sitting on a couch watching TV when they both reach for the remote at the same time. Can they break the cycle? You'll have to watch to find out. You can check it out here!

From the creator: This was a sketch that honestly could have gone in two different directions. If I remember correctly, when we originally filmed this sketch the script was rather short and to the point; it was more about a memorization of lines than a memorization of timing. I think what Bijan and Joe got out of this was an awesome mixture of both memorization of timing and lines, along with a little improvisation thrown in there for good measure. I recall a bunch of people sitting around trying to come up with oddball things for the characters to mirror each other with so the sketch would come out better. Buffalo Tuxedo was exceptionally random and it's inclusion really helped make the sketch for me. Another little known fact, there is actually an alternate ending to this sketch in the Swoof archives that is quite different than the one we ended up with. Maybe if we ever put out a Synaptic Kamikaze DVD we'll include it as an extra feature.
